Introduction:
Kids will surely enjoy making this paper plate cow made from our downloadable printable. This craft is great for kids, preschoolers and grade schoolers to do as it is quick and simple enough for them to do with the guidance of their parent and adult.

Download TemplateMake the base mask for the paper plate cow
Draw two circles for the peephole of the mask using a pencil. Follow along the dashed line as illustrated in the picture above. You may use your eyes to guide where to position the peephole for the mask.
The pencil outline should look like this. You can draw a perfect circle by tracing a small circular object.
Cut along the outline made. To make things easier, Cut a small slit at the center to make it easier to cut. Insert the scissors on the slit, then start cutting along the outline.
You may use a cutter if you find it more manageable. Just be very careful when handling sharp objects. Ask an adult to help, and do not let small children use a cutter on their own.
The peephole of your mask is finished! Grab a black marker or black crayon and outline cow fur prints on the plate.
Fill in the white spaces of the black outline with a black marker, paint, or crayons.
The base of your paper plate cow is now finished. Set it aside for now.
Cut out the pintables.
Download, then print the printable sheets found in the materials section of this tutorial. It’s best to print it on thick paper to be more durable to use as a mask. Cut each of the parts needed for the mask.
You now have 6 cutouts for your mask: 1 mouth, 2 yellow horns, 2 ears, and a bell bow.
Stick the mouth cutout to the paper plate
Using glue, stick the mouth to the bottom middle.
Position the mouth like the sample image above.
Stick the horns to the plate
Flip the paper plate to the other side.
Stick the horns on top of the peephole are of the paper plate.
Dress up the paper plate cow with a cute bow
Get the bell bow and stick it at the back of the paper plate.
Position it at the bottom of the paper plate.
Attach some ears
Stick the ears at the back of your paper plate. Position each ear near each horn.
Almost done!
Attach the string
To wear the mask, use a string to fasten it in place.
Punch a hole on the paper plate below the right ear.
Insert a long string and tie a double knot to secure it in place.
Punch another hole below the left ear and tie another piece of string around it.
The paper plate cow is now done! You may now tie it on your head.
